In the basement was left a large side-by-side fridge freezer.  32 inches deep and the door at the top of the stairs is 29 inches wide.  So, I had to take off the doors, which makes it 29 inches deep.  The evaporator grill on the back stands out a couple of inches.  A lot of work to remove all the stuff holding it out from the back to increase its efficiency.  It then lay down without breaking any of the metal tubing that carries the refrigerant which they don't want released into the atmosphere.   

After clipping all the tubing and electrical wiring and stuffing it all inside by the compressor, I was able to pin it back up pretty much flush with the back and reduce the depth to 28 inches, which will fit through the doorway.  

Had to also remove the bannister going up the stairs and the door at the top.  When the guys come with our appliances, we will prevail on them to move this up and out of the house.  A lot of diddling around just to throw something away.
