BWW Project #22 Arbor Vitae Repair
More bull-work, as much as I want to keep from gardening. The back yard has many Arbor Vitae in it and the snow and ice bent a couple over. After much study on the internet, Cathy ordered some plastic chain that wraps around inside the branches and cinches the main trunks together. I was skeptical, but after a lot of step-ladder work and grunting, we managed to do it.
Wow! I couldn't believe it worked. This is the major one shown above. We did another toward the rear that wasn't quite as bad. It even held up through a windstorm that happened a week later, while we were on a trip.
I can't believe it's the same tree!
