BWW Project 25-6 TDY at Sara's: Replaced Bathroom Triple Light
Sara had a rusty, grimy triple light fixture above the mirror in her upstairs bathroom and a new one to replace it with before she lists her house. Cathy and I spent a couple days there helping her again.
The switch-out was no big deal except that it's up pretty high above the mirror. The old bracket was unacceptable and I simply replaced it with the one supplied, which also supports the box that the three lights and their bars and domes come out of. The hole is right next to a stud and I was able to put two good screws through the bracket and secure it very firmly to the wall.
The wiring was uneventful and we suffered no problems until it came time to put the bulbs and globes on. The bulbs were not included and the sockets are a rectangular hole about the size of a USB port. We went to Menards and got a bulb to try. It fit the port and lit up, but when I went to pub a globe on, the bulb was too fat to through the hole.
Aaron and I picked up a skinnier one when we went for other supplies, and they fit right in the sockets and the globes fit over them.
The whole thing looks very nice,
