 FL Project #7  Lawn Sprinkler Extension for Penny A.

Penny, in bike club, was complaining about her lawn sprinkler and Cathy volunteered me to come look at it.  I gathered all my stuff up and rode over there prepared to do all the usual annual stuff.  Turned out she had a sprinkler on the corner of the house that she wanted elevated above a planter she had put in there and one that sprayed in a different pattern rather than soaking everything.

I moved the dirt away from the pop-up that was at the corner of the house and unscrewed it from the 3/4 inch opening.  Then we went over to Ace Hardware and got an 18-inch riser and a PVC threaded coupling plus a new pop-up with a 180-degree spray pattern.  Went back, screwed the riser in, coupled the new pop-up at the top and she figured out how to put her system in test mode.  It wasn't a Rain Bird like mine, but eventually popped on and the sprayer popped up.  I just twisted it until it sprayed where she wanted.  It lightly watered the planter, which is a good thing, and she was happy.
